camaro vs mach
im pretty sure it would be a damn close race.....ive raced a few ls1's even when i was stock and it was always a close close race.....s/c a mach is not a bad idea...considering the fact that its a 4v and it has the live axle unlike the 03 04 cobra.....change the comp. ratio and your ready to hammer the power down

What the hell are you talking about, the F-bodies factory HP ratings are at the flywheel, and the SS is not a cosmetic difference, it has different susepension, a functioning hood scoop, and an extra 5-10 HP.

difference between the SS and Z28 in 4th gens is just cosmetics
you are stupid to put a blower on a mach, not cuase of the pully, but because of the compression ratio
also main difference between the two, the fbody is at the rear wheels, while the mach is at the fly wheel

What the hell are you talking about? The SS does not have anymore HP than the Z28. It's an appearance package with an advertised performance package but tis' not true. They will dyno the same numbers.

Tell me why the compression ratio on the Mach 1 is bad for a supercharger? It's not. It'll make more HP per PSI. Since the Mach's internals are limited just like the GT at 450HP, the compression ratio can be completely ignored.

Like said earlier,, its a drivers race, with a SLIGHT advantage going to the LS driver.
It's in NO way a walking though. It'd be closer than a 05+ GT vs. a 99/04 GT race
LS1's might hit 13.0 Mach might hit 13.3... so its well within a tenth or two on the launch

Its kinda hard for a functioning hood scoop to function on a dyno, and even if it doesnt force that much air into the intake while driving it still cools the engine bay off.

amen to that brother
When I was at the track on Sunday there was a stock Mach 1 running with DR's, I wish I would have paid attention to her times but I didnt, I do know that this auto WS6 with a slp air lid, lt headers, and a hooker c/b was running 13.1 consistently. Here's a list of my car clubs time's at the track, theres like 6 Fbodies on there and a few mustangs http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~papa/forums/timeslips.php?.

What year SS/Z28?
Equal drivers 98+ = the SS will win. But it's pretty much a drivers race (aren't they all??)
