Are you spinning alot off the line and shifting to 2nd? Or is the car just not pulling hard? Do you shift slow?

Give us the 60ft time on your slip. That is where most of the time is lost. Im willing to bet your 60ft's are 2.2+. If you were to get that down to 2.0 or lower, you would be running 14.0-14.1. What was your speed? What was your 1/8mi time? There are many factors in this. Is your track Hi altitude? Just give us some more info

PS Your reaction time off the tree has nothing to do with your ET

Yea bro thats horrible times. What did your 60ft time look like? If the 60ft is ok then you definitely need to check your car because thats too slow. A buddy of mine at the track his first time with just exahust on his 2000 GT ran a 14.2 with a 2.460ft time. That same guy was beat by my other buddy with a 97 Cobra with an o/r x-pipe nothing else. So definitely check your 60ft time.

Shifting smoothly and shifting quickly cannot be done at the same time. You gotta bang that gear and get off the clutch ASAP. No smoothness to be found. You will get the hang of it.

AHHHHHHAAAAA. I knew it. In no way do i mean to be rude, but those 60ft times are horrible. Just a fact. Heres a rule of thumb. For every .1 sec you take off your 60, take .2 off your ET.

So if you take .4 off your 60,(thats .8sec off your ET for all you math whizzes) you will be running 14.0-14.2 everytime. Work on it man. Find the best way to launch, or just screw it and get some drag radial tires.
