The track stuff is good. And I'm glad that you race on the track. But, why do it on the street if you know what can happen and you have the sense to track race as well? I mean from those pics you look like you can handle a bike pretty damn good. I'd just hate for that talent to go down the drain because of street racing.</P>

Some times you can make a based enough judgement that it is safe to street race, definately not all the time, thats just stupid, like the video you posted earlier, those were morons. im sure gxr checked out his surroundings and such before he did it... even though starting out behind someone is very reckless (not to mention speed) but im sure he didnt go and do it on a gridlock freeway or anything

Everyone must realize that notwo people will have the same opinion on different matters. If you do not believe that street racing is a good idea, dont do it. If you do not believe that going that fast on the streets, dont do it. But if you feel that you are aware of your surroundings, and are sure that the dangers are minimal, thats your judgement. I, for one, have been known to hit 120-125 in my '03 GT. But, i never do it on roads where people should be crossing (such as highways), and i never do it in heavy or moderate traffic. It is always late at night, when the only thing that is being risked is a very hefty speeding ticket, or loss of license. If i do not think that i can safelypass certain cars (mainly chevys and hondas), then i do not do it. Simple as that. I have also known a few people who have been killed in car accidemts, but all because they were doing some completely ridiculously stupid things.</P>

I don't care what you think is safe and isn't.
All it takes is for somone else to mess up, or something to fail, and people DIE. People that were FORCED into being involved (like a car flipping, skidding on a sidewalk, and taking out a family walking home from the grocery).
You have <font size="6">NO</font> right at <font size="6">ALL</font> to even THINK you should do this kind of stuff and play god with other people's lives.

~In case I was not clear enough in a past thread. It was late, on a four lane highway (that nobody every crosses) with just me, him, and thatone truck I passed. And just for arguements sake, the pass I made was made just like I would have done any other lane changing movement, except I did it more abruptly (I was still 9ft or so in front). The ONLY that could have happened by my doing that was him cursing at my car. I passed him in first gear, it was not like I was nailing it to pass him @ 110mph. I never race in areas where there is a high risk of an accident to someone else. Neighborhoods are a no no, busy traffic doesn't work, and nor does ignoring that gut feeling.</P>
~Now we're playing God huh? Wow, u really must be a preacher. As a said before your opinions are yours, and mine are mine. We justhave to agree to disagree. The guys I ride with have hung out/rode with w/the Starboyz, among other "dangerous" bike groups. Believe me, I am FAR FROM THE "WORST" out there. Yea, I've out run a few cops before, but I don't have them patrolling my neigborhood monitoring my every move like some people in OH that I know of. My point is keep on preaching, but that doesn't make me any more/less religious, because I don't feel I am as bad as a lot of them. I'm sure your opinion is different, but that's ok<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0">.</P><edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37820.8641782407</editDate></edited>

Honestly, I'm not religous.
My main points:
you have no right to put others in this sort of risk
you never know what may pop out in front of you
you never know who you will kill
I don't see how you can attempt to justify your actions.

<FONT size=2>WOW.....Im completely suprised that I finally agree with JEEP....GOOD ON YA BRO. Street racing is completely idiotic. I do it sometimes if im at a light next to another decent competitor. I only race upto 10 mph over the speed limit though. I think that if yer gonna kill yer self racing, do it at a track. Way more people to hit if you wheelie over a guard rail and take out a buncha spectators. HAHA, j/k. but atleast at a track youll get a plack put somewhere that reads "In Memory of Joe Schmoe". Do it on the street and youll be reading s**t in the papers that says, an 86 yer old man was street racing through the Farmers Market today killing 9 people. Getting anywhere from 20 years to life....which is probably a week in prison for him. </FONT></P>

<FONT size=2>Hey Jeep, sorry if I seemed to knock ya in some of our past disagreements bro, ya earn my respect on this thread.</FONT></P>
