Default What to do for more horespower

I just got my 98 mustang GT and I was wondering what I could do for more horespower, I also have been looking at new exhuasts and need help. I am on a pretty tight budget right now becuase of being layeed of in the winter.

lets break this down a little bit........

if you want to actually feel a difference in your car get some 4.10 gears..they give you no more horsepower tho. if you want more horsepower, in your case do a pi swap, longtube headers, new mid-pipe. tuner, cams, pullies, plenum/ TB combo, catback exhaust.....and i think theres more i just cant think right now..

best bet is 4.10 Gears and PI swap, that should put you at 13.XX ET the PI swap should make you 270HP ( better compression then new edge GTs)


right now you about 220hp.

well i m still in high school and i make between 3 to 4 thousand a year
if I get a winter job. My parents payed half on the car and dont want to pay anyomre.

good place to start is a catback


but your goal should be a PI swap since its a 98 that'll add 40hp right thur
