Default for u gys with a 01-04 gt

when u guys are driving on the highway does ur hood start to shake alot because that happens to me alot....is it the hoodscoop or is the hood loose

mine does. probably just the metal flexing with the drag from the hood scoop.

we have fiberglass hoods? Thats not quite like carbon fiber is it?

Well since my car was wrecked when I bought it when I hit a pot hole extremely hard my hood will unlatch[:@]. Damn I need to get that fixed it is a bit unsafe[&:]

With that being said yes the hood does seem to flex at higher speeds.

i drove my buddies 01 and had alot of noise due to the hood you could see it flexing in the wind that was at 85mph

i noticed that in my cousin 02 today it must be the hood scoop because it does not do it in my 99

Theres not a single piece of fiberglass on a factory GT, the hood is metal and the scoop is plastic. My hood move a lil on the high way, and so did the other mustangs I test drove.

Fiberglass is really brittle, I do believe carbon fiber is alot stronger and lighter. Carbon fiber, like its name, is made from strands of carbon, fiber glass is mad from these little strands of glass that is really itchy.
