Default 40o+HP Guys: Any regrets?

Hey,

Before I start buying stuff and finalize my plans I just wanted to ask if any of you high horse power guys have any regrets about going so high.

I know speed is fun and all, but do the cars just become too much after a point? Did you lose any drivability? If you could do it all over again, would you stop at like 350hp instaed ? I originally bought this car as a summer weekend cruiser for my wife and I to take trips in. Drop the top cruise to Philly to see her sister, or down to A.C to gamble and eat. NOW I'm pricing ported SVO heads an blowers!!![:@]. I just don't want to drop alot of coin and wind up with an undriveable mess. I would like to hear the down side of the HP game.

Thanks

nitrous. then you wont lose any driveablity and you can have 400hp when you want it. and you only spend about a grand and your wife can still drive it so you wont have to worry

Regret about nitrous..you never have enough. Its a plus that you can turn on an extra 100hp here and there, but its a bitch that you only have a limited amount. I know you could always get two bottles, but I don't need it that bad. I already have a 20lb bottle.

It is addicting, a sickness. The thing is, I have only really hot rodded older cars. I KNOW they will be uncomfotable and jumpy and loud. I don't know how these newer cars react to hp increases. If at 450 hp the only diff beween stock is the speed, then fine 450 here I come, but if the ride and reliability suffer too much, well maybe I rethink some things.

Thats good to know. The thing my wife and I really love about this stang is how smooth the ride is, I just don't want to ruin the. By the way what kind of s/c are you using. If its a centri whaen does boost kick in and is there a big lag?
