Default Ticking sound 2004 gt

My 04 gt with 25000 miles has a ticking sound coming from the drivers side engine bay. I have never noticed it b4. Do all the engines have this tick or is something wrong with my car?

It seems to get faster but it gets drowned out by the eng/exhuast and you cant hear it. Its not loud enough to hear it in the car. Its wierd too, like sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesnt. I havent heard anything in tha back. woudl that be where the exhuast leak would?

Could have knocked the exhaust manifold bracket a little lose and is causing a slight exhaust leak. You wouldnt hear it in the back of the car and it would sort of sound like it was coming from the engine bay.

yeah the only think im worried about is if he's leakin like that then he's exposing his valves to uneven back pressure and could cause potential head work cause he screws a valve...my friends camaro ticked like that cause he didnt put a gasket down and allowed a leak so long it siezed a valve

stick a screwdriver on the injectors and listen through the handle! Is that what it sounds like?

My car does the same thing...

could be a throw out bearing....mine started to make that noise (or similar)around the same miles....next time you hear the noise...see if it stops if you just barely press in on the clutch...if it does...then its the t.o.b

i never heard a TOB tick but i tracked my tick to the injectors using the ear-on-screwdriver method

mine does the same thing, it almost sounds like the injectors firing, which is what i think it is. its been doing that since ive owned the car and mine has the same amount of miles as yours

it's probably just the injectors....check using the method above

assuming it is, it's normal, nothing to worry about
