2003 GT Auto Slight Growl/Roughness at very low speeds?
Hello all... I am noticing a slight growl, roughness feeling in the brake pedal/slightly in the steering wheel below 5mph when coming to a stop.
It peaks at about 3mph and then goes away.
I don't notice it when accelerating.
It kind of feels like a pad or wheel bearing, but they have plenty of life left on them (pads) and the rotors look fine.
Car has 18k on it.
It seems that it comes and goes as well or maybe sometimes I am more sensetive to it.
I also noticed that it doesn't seem to do it, or at least not as bad, when coasting in neutral which to me indicates possible noise from the auto transmission which does whine ever so slightly when coasting down.
It might even be the Eagle Gator Backs which have an uncanny ability to transmit all kinds of noise to the car
It is very slight and might very well be normal because my other cars all either whine, or growl a little louder at certain speeds.
I've had a fair amount of experience over the years diagnosing noises but this one is a bit weird.
Am I being too fussy?
Any ideas?
tia!
