I bought the gasket and forgot it at my apt when i went to install the shifter so I ended up using silicon. Some ppl have had problems with the gaskets, but Ive never heard of a problem with the silicon. I would use the silicon if i was you.

Use a gasket maker. I have heard of people having leaks with the gasket. Just put some silicone around the base and you're home free.

Its better to forget the gaskets and that shifter all together. Go buy a MGW.

I agree, the MGW is much better, but since you already have the Tri-Ax, I'd definitely say gaskets.

yeaqh i got the steeda tri ax shifter and i didnt research enough and i didnt put in the gaskets or the silicone. Noise is annoying as hell. I was unaware of the leaks though.

Sounds like silicone is the way to go. What is a good brand and where can i get some.
