RE: fed up
Honestly i think you should get the LS1, most people on here will tell you they dont look good but i think they can look pretty good, so do alot of other chevy owners. It is alot easier to get good horsepower, pretty easy to get to 400rwhp n/a.

RE: fed up
get the mustang. imo the mustangs look a hell of a lot better and the fact that it isn't as powerful really doesn't bother me. i rarely, if ever, encounter a car that i can't beat. there just aren't many fast cars around here. sure a stock mustang isn't the fastest car on the block but many people forget that it can still beat 85-90% of the cars on the road.
if you do get the mustang and you get the craving for more power you can just supercharge the stock block for $3-4000 and get into the 320-330 rwhp range. maybe more i don't know for sure.

RE: fed up
here u go...my follow up
CAI - 175 BBK
TB - 205 BBK
Plenum - 110 Trickflow
headers - 400 for the bbk combo
mid pipe - included above
after cat - 470 Magnapack after-cat
and there u go...1500 and you've got the sound and performance to beat an LS1 any day...at the rate z28's and SS go for, u might make that up in buyin cars, and u get something to brag about
PS. im sure some Gt guys around here can give u better products to net more hp, but taht was a 5 minute search on summitracing.com to give u some details

RE: fed up
Yea, LS1's are faster initially of course, but wouldnt you think its cool if you're in a GT and a guy in a Camaro SS or WS6 T/A wants to run you thinking its a slow Mustang. At which point you start spraying your Nitrous and let him read the 7 letters on the back of your bumper. Thats why I just ordered my Zex nitrous kit I've raced in a car with nitrous, and you should see the look on the poor LS1 owner's face haha priceless[8D] Better yet, supercharge the GT. They will feel so played as they get beaten by a slow 2V 4.6L SOHC GT

If you wanna go sexy, and go fast get a mustang. If you wanna go a little faster, and look like white trash get a LS1.
LS1 is a hell of a engine despite what others have said. If performance matters to you more then history, looks, and a nice community to be a part of. . . . well then get a Camaro.
