Default 1000$ budget

hello, first post here

i have a 1997 ford mustang gt what i have is just the bullit style deep dish rims and intake.

I have a 1000 dollar budget for mods, i have already ordered 4.10 gears and that was excluded, so i have 1000 even to spend what would be the best mods for me?any input would be greatly appreciated

Yea do a PI swap which means you take a PI intake manifold and PI heads and swap out the Non-PI parts on your engine. By the way if you dont know what that is, PI heads and intake manifold are the stock heads and manifold that comes on the 99-04 GTs.

These parts are the main reason why your Non-PI engine aka 96-98 GTs make way less power and cant keep up with the 99-04 GT is because your heads and intake manifold are so restrictive. Once you do this swap, your car will practically be right up there with the 99-04 GT. Hope this helps!

I've got PI Cams off my 00 GT for sale if interested. Excellent condition. Come with stock gears still pressed on. $75.00 plus shipping.

I'd assume you're asking me that. Damn you're behind in the times, lol. It's a work in progress really. I got the new motor a month or 2 ago. It's installed and finally broke in but I've got some other things I'm updating as well before I re dynotune it. Not sure if I'll be able to get it to the tuner this year or not. Of course I won't drive it there if it's rain or snow. Anywho, sorry to ***** up your thread gtmmustangfan97, lol

correct me if im wrong but doesn't the no-pi's pistons travel resulting in .5 more compression after doing the pi swap. im like 85% positive. +1 on the pi swap. best invesment. u will need pi heads and intak manifold. your heads if u order from jegs or summit will come with the cams.
