I know this may sound stupid, but how do I tell which type of tranny I have? I have an 04 GT. Thanks.

Look at your speedo sensor. If it comes straight out and then has a 45 degree elbow I believe it is a T45 if it comes out from the tranny at an angle it should be the 3650.
I think that is the right way round

Just found this in the trans. tech area;

"The Mustang GT in 2001 had both the T5/T-45 and 3650 Transmissions. Check your driver's door for a sticker and look under "TR" for a "K". If you have a "K" then you have the 3650 Transmission."

Checked my door sticker and I have the K
