Default RE: BPV?

A BOV can be used with a blow-through MAF... it vents excess charged air into the atmosphere... You put it BEFORE the MAF.

A bypass valve has to be used with a suck-through MAF setup, it vents extra charged air back into the intake somewhere, usually just before the blower, it has to be AFTER the MAF though.

Difference: BOV vents un-metered air, BPV vents metered air, so it has to go back into the intake path somewhere.

Just choose one based on your MAF setup. A BOV makes that cool PSSHHTT sound, a BPV will make it too but it'll be much more quiet.
