i think Ford switched to 75W-140 in '99 and with royal purple you wont need the friction modifier since it's already in there

Sorry to take this over but I was wondering if its easy to just switch out gear oil. I have 75 90 but want to go with 75 140

RP already has it in it. No need to add it.

And canzokid, changing the rear diff fluid is easy, its just messy. It'll take you about 1.5hrs, and that includes the 30 min it takes to let the gasket maker set up. Make sure you clean all the bots off and clean the inside of the cover before you put it all back in.
