Default Clutch clang

This only happens when car sits overnight. When I first start off and press clutch in, there is like a metal clanging noise. After about 2 to 3 minutes noise goes away. Don't have a clue!!!!! I have a King Cobra clutch which was put in a few months ago.

Because it only happens when its cold, im going to guess there's too much slop somewhere. Gears, maybe bearings? When metal heats up, it expands, thus fixing the noise. I cant say where, but it sounds like too much backlash or slop somewhere.

Seems to come from front of car, so I know it's not bearings. I wonder if it's the clutch cable being to loose causing play or slop so to speak?

Well you do have bearings inside the transmission, so it could be them. Although bearings tend to make a whizzing sound, not a clanking, unless its a ball bearing and it completely ripped apart. But warming up the engine wouldnt help that lol. Clutch cable being loose would just make the clutch slip. If its slipping, then there you go.

No, not slipping at all.

Pinpoint the sound to within 6 inches. If you can, lift the car on a jack and listen under the car. That will be your best bet if you're insisting on self-diagnostic.

GO through all the little things first before, looking at bearings in the trans. Which, correct me if im wrong but arent there only two bearings? Id, check tranny fluid, check cable (using 2 finger test), and go from there.
