Default Anyone with a 00GT have a NOVI2000?

Most places I look online show the NOVI2000 kit for the 99 GT and then another kit for the 01-04GT. I know Vortech's go for the 99GT and for the 00-04GT but the NOVI's dont seem to include the 00. So if anyone has a 00 GT with a NOVI2000 setup and could please tell me if the 01-04 kit is the one with the bracket that bolts up to our engine that would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I know the vortech bracket is different from the 99 to the 00-04's. Different timing chain cover, I belive that is it.

While my s trim vortech is the butt of SC's for the GT's, the NOVI 2000 is the **** of the SC's. These things pull like crazy. I've never ridden in one, but I know a dude pushing 600rwhp @ 21 psi. Actually, I don't know him, but he's doing it. The pull starts a little later than the vortech. BUT w/o a forged block it's worthless & it's overkill for most applications. But if you want to upgrade your block soon, it'll give you room to grow into.

Yeah I plan to SC then begin to save for a fully forged shortblock after the car is boosted. Final goal is like a 500-600RWHP daily driver.

So the NOVI2000 kit should actually say its for 00-04 not 01-04?

uhh, just call the Paxton Novi company. Ask them real quick. They will definately know. With your goal of 500-600rwhp, you will be nowhere close to the max hp of the 2000. They are rated at almost 1200hp!!!! Thats flywheels hp, but still, DAMN!

Yeah...but it also surpasses the rating of the novi1000. Plus im getting the kit used, so I'm not gunna save any money by getting the 1000 instead. lol

I'm sure you could run an s-trim @ 1200 HP so long as you don't over-spin it...

How much boost are you running???

Why do you think the s trim is "the butt of sc's for the GT"?? 600+ WHP capable, completely reliable, most popular/dependable aftermarket supercharger available.... Obviously there are bigger blowers out there, but nobody getting a SQ should think they are shortselling theirselves. Its not a powerdyne.

Unless you plan on ported heads and aftermarket cams/intake there is no reason you need anything bigger than a S or SQ. MPH has several cars in the 550+ range on stock heads/intake with NO intercooler, and several in the 600~ range with intercooling.

The major difference between the 99-00 and 01+ kits from vortech is the IAT sensor setup. On the 01 1/2 + cars the MAF has the IAT sensor integrated into it, so you need a new IAT from the 99-00 cars and you need instructions on how to install it.

The vortech instructions didn't say anything about a different bracket for the 2 different cars, and I cannot tell any difference in the covers between my car and my friends 04, but I have not installed a kit on a 01 1/2+ car.

Original poster definatly needs to call paxton with the SN of the kit and ask them if it will work ok on their car.
