Hey,
I'm down 2 exhaust choices. I think I'm either gonna go with a Mac cat back or the lower level Bassani on my 99 GT. The mustang performance shop I was at was trying to talk me into the Bassani, of course, but I'm not interested in brand names. They were telling me the Mac will rust out within a year and they're really not the best choice, but the Bassani I can afford is the non stainless composite. Has anyone heard of the Mac crappin out, or anyone have the lower level Bassani? Just let me know what you guys think about the 2 systems. Thanks

well as far as i know the bassani "bx" which is what i think your referring to is not stainless steel. if you get a catback like mac or flowmaster that is NOT stainless steal it will rust with time. this is the reason why i ruled out some exhaust sytems and wound up with my all stainless slp lm2... couldnt be happier with sound/look/fit .


as far as i know mac does make a stainless steel catback tho, and bassani sounds great but 700+ for a stainless catback.... thats a bit much.

One of my buddies has an 03 Mach 1 with Mac exhaust system and hes had it on there for about a year and a half i believe and everything seems to be fine by my knowledge cant hear no leaks or anything.

Another one of my friends has an 04 Cobra with Bassani exhaust and In my personal opinion it sounds good and clean drivin down the road but i dont really care for it when its rev'in up but thats just a personal opinion, yours might be different. The Bassani will be louder most likley i would think.

the Bassani is the BX. With instal the Mac is around 300 and Bassani is 550. I'm not too worried about the price between the 2, but want the best sound. Is the LMII's worth the money compared to these?

if money isnt a big issue take a look at magnaflow magnapacks, SLP systems and borla stingers

I still like the sound of the Mac even though its talked down. Does anyone have any experiences with Mac?

I have a full mac setup plus four friends with mac one of them has a cobra and one of them has a mach one and we all love them. They are by far the easiest to install and they never rust out and they are cheap plus they sound sick. [sm=closed.gif]
