after seeing the quality of the Real saleen body parts i would rather buy the $300 fiberglass kit off ebay, the realy saleen stuff is really rough and horrible quality, i was quoted 300 to prep and paint spoiler b/c it was such bad condition

DO NOT GO EBAY KITS!!!! i bought one for my old mustang, 97 GT and when my father in law was installing it (he owns a body shop so it was for free) well he had averything off and painted then went to put it on and the kit was warped. I paid 400 plus 100 shipping thinking i got a good deal....yeah right. there was staples in the body kit. and the kit would not fit in the front because it was too small to wrap all the way around and the sides were warped. If you want a kit that bad then save for a good one. the next kit i get is prob gonna be the best of the best if i get to it. i am gona be spending too mkuch money while i am in japan to worry about looks next month.

thanks 97 GT is WAS sick... but wtv **** happens.... and ive also heard good things about ebay kits... mind you its not for a 97 more for a 2002 so maby an improvement?

the saleen kits ar enot expensive to prep bc they are "crappy" its because they are poly urathane - not urathane - there are different grades of urathane... I think the saleen kit (brand name) is a good product - it must be be any and all saleens have those same parts... I have a roush stage 3 body and its da shiznit... fiberglass will not hold up - fiberglass will not take a system and fiberglass will show rock chips and such mUCH easier and earlier than urathane kits will... and the brand name ensures fitment... urathane kits however whether brand name or not tend to be much more precise than fiberglass ones... The only way I owuld buy non oem brand name is if it was urathane - fiberglass will look like **** and not fit worth a damn... some people think they have bought brand name and in fact did not... saleen makes great products... with body kits its true you get what you pay for 1000x over
