I may be misunderstanding you, but if it is under warranty, take it to the dealer and get the service writer or mechanic to go with you for a ride in it so they can see and hear exactly what is doing and see if the fix is covered under the warranty. remember if it is caused by the emissions control stuff, this has to be warranteed for 50,000 miles, not the lower mileage for the standard warranty.

It's an aftermarket warranty, but I can still see if I can get the Ford tech guys tot ake a look at it. They were really good about my bad catalytic converter, charged me nothing!

I hope my tq converter is shot.... Higher Stall HERE I COME!

Wow, that's an *** load of money though... 02 sensors are like $80 a piece! AND THERE's 4 of them!

You mind spelling out those acronyms and explaining what they do please?

i think im having this problem, its around 1500-2000rpms that if u step on it, the car doesnt really go anywhere and it suttters big time, its like a huge loss of power, and this has happened since i put a new 02 sensor on, i unhooked it, and it still continued to stutter, also im now reading code P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) i really have no idea what to do. i think i might jus have to stoop down to the dealer.

It sounds like it might be the mass air flow sensor.

The way I diagnosed them when I worked at the dealer was that we hooked up the scan tool and set it to monitor the MAF sensor. It reads in hertz and is supposed to be with in a range that I have forgotten (been like 6 yrs since I worked there). If it is not in that range then we would replace them.

I don't know if any of the aftermarket scan tools can read things that way but if you know anyone that has one you could ask them.

If you have any friends that have stangs you could see if you could barrow theirs to check and see if it helps.

Good Luck

my car did the same thing.Took it to a Ford dealer and found it was running to rich causing the plugs to foul. Replaced plugs and a way I go till the next plug goes. I think a bigger TB is in the future. Damn that's to bad.

ok guys, this fixed my problem almost instantly, i let my tank run down to almsot E, then i filled it up with 93 octane gas and after it worked through my car, about maybe 30 miles or so, w/e, the car doesn't do that nemore, like it is cleaner through the injectors or something, but i can now mash the throttle from anywhere from 500 rpm's to 5000 amd it don't stutta anymore like you guys have stated and wthat i have felt, so i would say try uprgrading the gas that you use, it might help, simple trrial and error, and it worked hella good for me, all of these suggestions from you guys have been awesome too
