I bought 4.10s. Haven't installed them but that's what most people told me to go. Basically unless your getting a S/C or Turbo anytime soon go 4.10s

3.90 or 4.10 for n/a
3.55 or 3.73 for forced induction, 3.55 being for the higher horsepower makers.
if you have an auto, go with 3.73 for n/a
or 3.27 maybe for forced induction

I used to have a 96 GT and I went with 3.73s, and it was the biggest mistake I made. Should have definitely gone with 4.10s, and I suggest you do the same or you will regret it like I did.

Brandasman - unless you can run full out mickey thompsons daily in that... you will be sorry - running 3rd gear seeing that you've gone 10 ft and running 15's in a 12 second car :-/...
If you go FI - dont go as steep as 4.10's... Personally, I think 4.10's are a waste of a gear, unless you do a lot of highway driving. If i was staying N/A i'd get 4.30's if i had to do it again and didn't do much highway driving. If you're going FI, i'd say 3.73, 3.90 MOST... if you're making a lot of hp - go down to 3.55... 4.10s aren't the end all be all gear. That's just ignorant advice when people say "jsut go 4.10's"
Tell us what your plans are for the car, let us know what kinda driving you do, what are you looking for your car to do? There are a few questions you need to answer before you can expect the "perfect" gear for your setup.
