DONT REV PAST 6K. THE REDLINE IS THERE FOR A REASON
No, the rev limiter is there for a reason. Hitting red line every so often wont hurt the car. It's when you're hitting the rev limiter consistently that you need to worry. Running it out is good for it on occasion.
Yeah, you mentioned it was auto as I was writing that. If you're auto then unless it's set up wrong you should never get too high.

Well i wouldnt worry if its a little noise. **** somethings gotta be humming at that high of RPM i mean think of how fast taht is honestly. I shift at 6800rpm and theres sum noises there.

yeah but it JUST started, it always shifted at that Rpm (well since I put the SCT in) and all of a sudden its makin that noice, could it be a pully? or would a pully do it at all times?

Id think that you would be able to hear it before that if it was a pulley. Maybe its just your engine? your trans? making noises at that high of rpm idk lol.

Put it in neutral, rev it to 7800 or so & hold it there for a bout 5 mins, the noise will stop by its self.[:@]

it shifts at like 6200 and the whine starts about 5800 maybe, even when the cars NOT under load

not under load? 5800rpm??
