Default Exploded engine diagrams?

Im looking for an exploded engine diagram for the 99 4.6 motor. Im considering replacing the main bearings myself and want to see how much of a job it will be (mine are smoked I need new ones). Anyone know where I can get one other than a $35 Haynes manual?

Hmm. Yeah thats why I wanted to get the diagrams. Im not sure what this entails. Is it basic tools or special stuff? Ive got a TON of tools. If I can do it myself for a couple hundred bucks thats thats cool. If I f it up, ill get that forged shortblock Ive been wanting anyways. Either way I need to get this fixed. Just not sure how difficult its gonna be.

here ill give u a quick run down on tools...

TORQUE WRENCH (make it a good one if anything)
Wrenches (both metric and standard)
Rachet and sockets
breaker bars (1/4, 3/8, 1/2)
Pulley Puller
various C-clamps
Engine hoist
engine stand
hammer, plastic mallet
Dial indicator
micrometer
caliper
set of feeler guages
set of punches

Maybe a ridge reemer if you have excessive build-up
I've disassembled and reassembled an engine 4-5 times before myself and its just making sure everything has recommended specs and plenty of engine lube on it...i would almost recommend getting a rotating assembly if your going this far[&:]

Problem is I just dont have the money for the whole shebang right now, but my car reeeealy needs to be fixed. I have most of if not all of those tools. Do you know if there is anywhere to either buy or read the exact instructions for this job?

Holly crap i hope you know what your gettin yourself into. Thats a major job dude not for the novice gearhead lol. I got alot of ***** when it comes to workin on my own stuff but i wouldnt even attempt that. Big thing is its alot of friggin work and if something isnt right you wouldnt know it till the job is totally finished and your turnin the key. Save your money and let a pro do it for ya. Sometimes there are guys that will let you do it in there shop and help ya out if your looking to learn.

Yeah I know its a difficult job but its not impossible. I want to get a run down of exactly what I will need to do so I can decide if its something I want to try.

Here you go, get a ford shop manual. I had one for my 89 mustang. Its about the size of a dictionary. It will have everything you need to know to fix anything on your car. Including the exploded pictures your looking for. Its an excellent thing to have. Expensive but worth it.
