There is no freakin possible way anyhow, i dont care who is driving ok, that a stock gt from ANY YEAR with exhaust is gonna come freakin anywhere close to beating an 02 vette. And an automatic at that. If the vette blows a tire you will win, if he throws a rod you may win, if he forgets how to turn the ignition, you will win but if the guys knows how to mash his foot on a gas pedal your toast end of story, if you think you can beat a 02 vette with a stock gt your an idiot, just go home.

stock '02 vette = low 13's w/ good driver .
stock '02 z06 = mid 12's w/ good driver .
these are w/ manual trans .

And for the manuals it goes even and then after 80mph they pull away =) I have also raced BMW M5 400hp and the same result when racing them 0-80mph even and then they pull me!

Think of it this way: a properly driven Z28 or WS6 Fbody can hit a 12.99 bone stock on street tires (i've seen it), most of them hit a 13.4 on the track or so... take off another 400lbs and you have a corvette. Unless you've broken 12's on the track - you have no shot unless he is literally a chromosone short.

To clearify, I pull when the races is from a dead stop. But from a roll it is much harder =)
