In a near future I'll be getting a Vortech along with ported heads and cams. Is it worth to pay the extra cash for the Accufab tb and plenum?
the accufab is only worth it if you want looks. the cheapest tb/plenum is MAC, which is what i had. it put down 2RWHP more than the accufab at my local speed shop. they wanted to put accufab to the test.

also, throttle bodies don't really add crap for power. i gained a whopping 6RWHP on an already blown GT.
It's about throttle response not HP when adding an aftermarket TB/Plenum

That's what I thought.

How do the 4.6 GT MAF react to the larger throttle body?
Any computer tune required?

I know on the 05+ doing just about anything in that area, even a CAI, requires a tune because the MAF gets confused.

it does give better response, but not much.

and besides, tell that to all the yes-men that say it gives more power, especially with forced induction applications.

Would the bigger tb help with spray?

i kept throwing a check engine light after mine, said car was running extremly lean. so i bought 24lb and a new maf calibrated for 24lb and haven't had a problem since.

The thing about basic bolt-ons is that little by little they add power complementing each other. Take the tb and plenum, doesn't seem much, but along with a cai and 85mm mas much better gain.
