Default A doozy of a question

Ok, I'm a car illiterate mustang addict. But I do have a few questions I hope somebody can answer.

Ok, to start, I have a 2002 Mustang GT. Currently bone stock.

I'm planning on doing the following modifications:

1) Magnaflow Performance Dual Exhaust
2) FRPP 4.10 Gears
3) Granatelli Motor Sports Mass AirFlow Sensor
4) Accufab 75mm Throttle Boddy + Intake Plenum
5) KNN Cold Air Intake
6) A Throttle Body Spacer?
7) BBK Performance underdrive pulley kit
8) Dynomax ceramic coated headers
9) DiabloSport Predator Flash Programmer
10) Performance Brakes (Just incase I go through with it)

I believe thats all. I currently have all money set aside to buy, just awaiting an opinion.

Now for the questions:
1) If I purchase all of these items; What would be my estimated HP gain (If properly tuned w/ flash programmer)?
2) Are any of these modifications unnecessary?
3) I'm looking for the biggest bang for my buck, would you recommend taking away one of these items?
4) What performance would I expect to see from just simply having the new Intake System (throttle body + plenum + cold air)?
5) Should I upgrade the fuel injectors and the ECU to maximize performance from the new Intake System?
6) Does a throttle body spacer actually do anything?
7) What is the purpose of an Intake Plenum?
8) Do you reccomend another brand or another part?
9) Would there be any problems with installing these parts?

Basically I don't want to end up buying something that was useless or a waste of money. Feel free to post comments, concerns, personal experience, or other people you know experiences.

Thanks everybody for trying to help this poor illiterate guy out!

Well it doesn't realy seem like you are car illiterate...

IMO, scratch the intake spacer, thats a waste of money.
Buy steeda pullies instead of BBK (piggyback vs. nonpiggyback).
I'm assuming that when you say "headers" you mean LT's, so that means you are going to need to add a shorty midpipe to your list.
Upgrading injectors will not be necessary.

Overall that's not a bad list. Make sure you listen to some clips of different exhaust set ups so you know for sure what you want. I'd say do your whole exhaust system while your at it. LT's, matching midpipe, and whatever catback you like the sound of best. Definitely do the gears and tuner (so you can fix your speedo and so that you don't have to worry about MIL's if you choose an o/r midpipe). Throttlebody and plenum are not a bad idea either.

After you get all that stuff finished, start saving for a blower (you probably will need fuel injectors for that).

Skip all of them except the exhaust and supercharge it, thats the best bang for the buck anyway.

Unless you plan on supercharging or running a massive shot of nitrous, save your money on the MAF.

Skip the Diablo, go SCT. Biggest bang for your buck? Forget 4.10's and never look back with 4.30's.

Honestly skip everything except Long Tube headers, Full Exhaust, Gears+ Tuner.

Nothing else is going to net you any real gains. The whole intake setup might get you 10 hp if you're lucky.

Save the money from intake mods and buy some nitrous

That's a LOT of money spent on VERY LITTLE hp gain.

The 2 valve is impossible. It's a FI or bust situation.

Default RE: A doozy of a question

ok from what ppl have said lets see what your list looks like:

1) Magnaflow Performance Dual Exhaust
2) FRPP 4.10 Gears - 4.30s
3) Granatelli Motor Sports Mass AirFlow Sensor
4) Accufab 75mm Throttle Boddy + Intake Plenum

5) KNN Cold Air Intake
6) A Throttle Body Spacer?
7) BBK Performance underdrive pulley kit - Steeda UDP
8) Dynomax ceramic coated headers
9) DiabloSport Predator Flash Programmer - SCT tuner
10) Performance Brakes (Just incase I go through with it)

1) If I purchase all of these items; What would be my estimated HP gain (If properly tuned w/ flash programmer)?
with whats been changed, id say 60 maybe?
2) Are any of these modifications unnecessary?
as above
3) I'm looking for the biggest bang for my buck, would you recommend taking away one of these items?
as above
4) What performance would I expect to see from just simply having the new Intake System (throttle body + plenum + cold air)?
not much
5) Should I upgrade the fuel injectors and the ECU to maximize performance from the new Intake System?
no, your not pushing enough to see these mods, yet
6) Does a throttle body spacer actually do anything?
it "increases intake velocity" aka a bunch of bs
7) What is the purpose of an Intake Plenum?
to direct the air from the intake pipe to the manifold
8) Do you reccomend another brand or another part?
as above
9) Would there be any problems with installing these parts?
headers would be your biggest hassle, thats about it
