Default For all of you guys who....

have done a PI swap b4 how long does it take? Ill have a few buddy's with me and we go to school for automotive so we have the knowledge, but realistically how long will it take for a full PI swap?

If you are familiar with the work and have some experience with turning wrenches like you say, it'll be atleast a 3 hour project just getting everything removed....

Be ready to be without the car for 48 hours!

but it can be a 2 day job.....assuming every thing goes ok it can be done over a weekend....figure start friday, but by monday have the car running? and this is also more so for ppl who have done it or knows, is there ne thing i would need extra... ne gaskets or tools that are unusual...stuff like that

***Cam timing tool. And see about renting a cherry picker. You have no idea how much easier it would be with the engine out of the car. Ford sells a gasket/install kit for doing the PI swap. It comes with new head bolts (which you need), and all gaskets you need.

ok im sure i can rent a cherry picker....i tryed to search google for the kit for the gaskets.....couldn't find ne thing. would you know who sells it?

I pulled my motor, it made it so much easier!!! Dirt control and not fighting to do the job, but either way it's a two day job!!!!
