look into either MMR's Forged 900 stoker shortblock, or VT Engine's 5.0 Forged Stroker shortblock. If you have enough dough just cough up the 8k and get VTs 302 Billet Stroker Longblock fully assembled with stage 2 ported heads! Thats what im saving for....but dont tell anyone lol.

why buy a longblock if he's gonna go kb? "(just wondering cause i'm a newb too)

will there be any probs with the wiring/ecu if i boughta 50 from vt? I will be doing the same thing as the original poster so just wondering if i'd hafta buy a new wiring harness if i buy a stroker block ? cause if i do then i'd prolly get the mmr 900 or the sportsma gt shortblock

Im just ordering the longblock from VT because I dont know a single mechanic that I trust enough to put the top end together on an investment of that level. I look at it as one less thing I have to worry about- and pay somoeone to do (Because I sure cant assemble a modular properly lol). Plus VTs Forged longblocks come with Stage 1 ported heads, and their Billet longblocks come with Stage 2 ported heads- pretty good deal. Once you get the assembled motor in and working you can sell most of your original motor and get a little money back including (Intake- since going with KB, Heads/cams, and shortblock if you want). So buying a longblock pre-assembled just saves me money, time, and gives me some peace of mind in the end. Worth the extra $$ if you ask me.

No replacement for displacement huh? Then why do indy cars make 600 hp NA with only 3 liter v8's?

Seriously, if anyone knows please tell me. I tried searching online but wasn't able to find any answers.

I believe the compression and high reving has something to do with it. Look at Nascar engine, there aint much special about those, except they can hit over 200+ mph and run at 10,000rpms.

those cars shave extremely high compression, turn 15-20K rpm's, and run on extremely high octane fuel.

as far as the thread subject, sounds badass, but i'll stick with the twins.
