Default Power gains...

I ran a search, no dice.

Does anyone have an idea how much (if anything) there may be to gain from a 180 degree thermostat (without programing)or a throttle body spacer mated to a stock throttle body?

180 degree thermostat. I dunno, maybe 1 or 2 ponies. TB spacer = 0 hp gain. Waste of money.

Thermostat is the big goose egg. The Throttel Body Spacer if your lucky you'll get 1-1.15 HP.

Lizzy.. keeping our engines cool are only necessary when your car is fast enough to get hot...

You won't see any horsepower gains per say, but it will keep your internal engine temps down. It's cheap and easy to do.

Think of it this way, when you make track passes you car won't get as hot as phalcrows because your engine has the thermostat... and while you dont gain any hp... the heat of the engine is sucking your power away like it is, his... [8D]

I shoulda been more specific I guess. Some things don't have to add power to be good. I had a Camaro a few years ago and I know that a stat was one of the first and most popular mods people make. I just didn't want to put too much additional stress on the cooling system.

As for the throttle body spacer it seems that the only people who see gains are the ones who actually have one. I guess if I fell for good marketing I wouldn't want to feel like I got ripped off either.[8D]

I guess I'll save the $ for some new piston return springs...
