Default Cobra R Brake Upgrade

Hey all-
First off I was wondering if the Cobra R kit would fit under Stock 17" GT wheels?
Second, I was wondering if anyone here has them, what they think of them, if they are a pretty sizeable amount better then the 10th anniv. cobra brake upgrade, and if they could post some pics of them on their car. Thanks in advance

$$$$$$$

Are you a dedicated road racer/circle track racer? If not, these are overkill extreme.

no they wont fit I'm almost 100% thats why they have 18" y2k rims on them cobra r and like above stated those arent going to be very benefical to you unless your running some serious power for the money your going to put into the brakes. I know it looks amazing but it just wont be worth it. Im looking to do drilled and slotted rotors just for a non corrosive finish and some performance and looks but even for me I won't see a gain in stopping power

No drilled and slotted rotors are just for looks for most of us. They dont increase your craking power they just keep you brakes cool. That is if you're doing the pikes peak hill climb. I've gone to a road racing track and done a few runs. I just have carbon metallic race pads and stock (brand new) rotors and calipers and i didnt even get those things warm. I cant imagine how hard you'd have to run those cobra brakes for them to actually be worth it.

so for normal street use the 4 piston brembos dont out perform the 2 piston cobras by that much?
As for overkill, if your gonna upgrade the brakes why half a$$ it? Just like you dont need a 400hp daily driver, but we like power so we go over the top...
