You could always have it insured under your parents name like if it was their car.
Before anyone asks if that is illegal let me answer you by saying NO. It would be the same thing as letting somebody "borrow" the car

I hope you can somehow keep the mach, its a sweet ride and you'd miss the 4v power.Dont get me wrong i love my 01 gt but if i had the chance for a 4v,my stang would be gone in a hurry.

you guys are lucky, when i was a teen my first car was a 81 vw rabbit diesel.57hp no kidding.

Your Mach is probably a little more expensive to insure, but I am still a teen so my car costs $3000 to insure full coverage. That plus my car payments is about $540 a month the way my insurance payments work. That is a lot of money for a kid to pay and try to go to college.
EDIT: Plus I live in Massachusetts where I can only drive the car about 2/3 of the year. That is even worse. I hate to say it but I may be leaving the stang community that I love.

You and I are ni the same boat my friend. I feel like im living off paycheck to paycheck instead of being able to save my money. I dont know how much insurance would differ from a Mach 1 so who knows.

I absolutely love my Mustang GT but I think I may be selling it soon. I cannot afford the insurance costs really. I can, but I am a student so working 6 days a week and school is not the greatest thing. I need some time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I am really stuck, I love it but I don't know if I should keep it.

My 99 GT is awesome. Of course it isnt the fastest car on teh road by any means, but just driving it makes me feel good about myself. Even if I'm not driving fast, I feel powerful, like I could do something bad IF i wanted, but I dont.
Maybe im making up for some shortcomings in my life, *shrugs* maybe that is all we're doing...

Matt, I know you aren't going to make the car a dragster, you just love Mustangs for what they are. I think you'd be happy with a GT. Sure the Mach 1 is faster, and has better potential for mods because it's a 4V engine., but then again you aren't going to go crazy on mods. If the Mustang is your dream car, I think you should keep it., at least if you get a GT, you'll still have a Mustang.
BTW, I pay $101/month full coverage for my GT. (I'm 27 years old)
