WTF is wrong with my exhaust sound???
I have a 99 Mustang GT 4.6 and I have a Mac O/R H-Pipe with a Mac Cat back. Whenever I take of slow and Im in about 2000-3000 RPM's my exhaust sounds like its spitting itself out. It does not sound like its smooth flowing loud throaty sound like I wanted. Im thinking of switching out the exhaust to a Maganflow b/c im thinking there just not working well together! Anyone have the same problems??? Can anyone tell me whats up with this crap? Thanks, Paul

if its spitting it is most likely a leak first. check that. look under the car and see if you hae any exhaust leaks AKA black spots on the pipes. after that then chech the others. the spitting sound is most likely the leak.

Its not catted thats what O/R means and Ill chck all the bolts but its not the ticking noise I had when I had a leak up at the header manifold. Its more like a spiting sound out the back of the exhaust... and its only when i go slow in low RPMs other wise if I haul *** It sounds mean. Its only in lower RPMS!!! Help though its pissing me off.!!! Thanks again, Paul

RE: WTF is wrong with my exhaust sound???
sounds like it is missing...how many miles?...have you replaced the plugs?...my dad's F150 was doing something similar a couple months ago and it happened to be a bad plug...the truck only has like 35k miles on it but it is a 98 and it isn't driven that far/often so just the age can make them go bad as sometimes crud builds up and doesn't get burned off...anyway...it was missing downlow also and when you got out of the RPM range it smoothed out...so we had the plugs and wires changed and problem went away

Theres your problem, you put something on your car with the words "mac" in the title.
