it takes a 01 motor + timing adjuster, exhaust(STOCK headers) pulleys, 4.10 gears, and a few unneeded things (spare, rear seat) removed, to get a 13.2 on street tires, 12.9 on dr's

so you need a bit more

editted for those of you that misunderstood

Can you not join our forum and spread lies. Thanks!

I really dont want to start to tell u how wrong u are. But for starters why would he need an 01 motor. The 99-04 is basically the same thing. With small exceptions. The non pi GT's are basically the same except for the heads and intake. And a timming ajuster would really only be needed if ur running n2o or major boost. Running open headers on Modulars will reslut in bad things such as buring up the exhaust valves and they will cause u to lose power. And im not seeing without suspension 12.9.

im not spreading lies, im using an example, (my car) and when i say no headers, i mean stock headers.

and from what i understand 99-04 are all the same, except late 01 they changed clutch size and waterpump pulley.

Yes, i know what u ment. Its cool to start her up with just shorites (factory ones) in the gargage. Hell we did it when we put on a prochamber to my buddies 02 gt but u will be losing power down low, becasue of the lack of backpressure. And i personally think it dosnt sound that good unless ur over 350 CI. A buddies Lt1 camaro sounds bad *** with just shorite headers. But hes changing them to LT's with dumps.

Ahhh, kinda unusual how u describe things. Most people would have said Mid pipe and cat back.

it wasnt that they changed the clutch size on the motor man.. its they changed the transmission/housing/clutch splines. The 4.6 from 99-04 are all basically identical.. and the cars still put the same power to the ground.. ford just switched to a newer tremec.

i just knew they changed something involving the drivetrain, because the shop didnt have a king cobra clutch for the later 01 models. i thought they mentioned a size dif, like early 01 uses 10.5 while late 01 uses 11?

not sure exactly what the difference is but it doesnt matter in terms of your car's performance.. its just the size that mounts up to the 3650 instead of the t-45/t-5's
