good luck dude, side note did you take off the whole pulley assembly and the face to do your cams, or were you able to unbolt the sprocket and all that to do the swap. I know how it should be done but thats my question. I have experience with shortblock chevy motors and I know all about what cams to get yadda yadda I just want to know about the intall but not so much the mod block let me know

I had to take the timing cover off and the pullies and all that junk. But there is someone that sells a tool that you can use so you dont have to remove th timing cover and you just keep tension on the chain so it doesnt jump teeth. But I had to replace the springs and thats what took the most time. But even if I didnt, I wouldnt use that tool just because its too sketchy. You have to keep tension with one hand while you put the cam in with the other. its not like it clamps in place or anything. So its worth the extra effort to do it right.. Heres a picture of my motor with the cams installed, chains installed. No rocker arms in yet... And you can see where I marked the sprocket and the chain.. There is also a dot on the sprocket as you can see if you look closely that shows you where that tooth should be related to the "darker" link on the chain. But it is very very hard to see the dark link if you didnt know where it was... The sprocket on the crank has a dot also and the dark link...

you should check the voltage of the TPS at idle (make sure you do this wile the car is off) but at idle the voltage should read .98 and at WOT it should read 5 volts if its off at idle you need to set it by unscrewing the TPS and moving it around untill you read .97-.98 volts

I had to crack the TB to get my **** to idle right with the new cams. You only need like a half a turn on the adjustment screw. If you adjust it too far, then you end up having just a really high idle. I also had to add 10% to all my idle air values in my tune to compensate for the cracked TB. Why did your tuner set the idle at 600? Should be at like 850.
