Default RE: xmas present....

ORIGINAL: mustangj23

steedaUDP's vs midpipe vs anything else for ~200-300

car is basically bonestock besides magnapacks

I have a feeling i will get alot of replies about gears, but i am a bit skeptical because whenever I use the gear calculator the rpm just seems way too high for when I would be on the highway - I could be using the wrong trans though maybe.

what would you guys suggest

also, if i did go midpipe would there be any issues with having enough room to fit in LT's (my car is an 04 + auto too unfortunately if thats an issue as well, and yes i know i will need o2 extensions)

thanks for the help
The mid pipe is the better of the two, but like stated earlier, if you're planning on LTs later, skip it for now. If that is the case then watch ebay for the Steeda UDPs and a timing adjuster.

As for gears, they are the best bang for the buck short of nitrous. However, with your budget, gears are not realistic. Anyone know a place where he can get new gears, the installation kit, and have them installed for $300? Didn't think so.
