Speed channel is also running a Street Tuner Challenge show where they have 3 cars from 3 different countries, Germany, Japan, and USA being built to compete against each other, a new VW GTI (there race version of the jetta), a new Civic Skunk (I'm guessing there race version as well) and the American car they gave them was a Mustang V6!!! WTF????
They gave the import teams the top of the line race versions and gave us, the base model? Another "just goes to show you" moment brought to you by "hi, I'm an American Muscle car guy and I'm gonna kick your a$$"

there are lots of guys in idaho that think thier civic is fast. the problem is your not comparing two cars that are the same. what would happen if the mustang had a built turbo motor with dr's? the turbo civic would run away with his tail between his legs. for every "fast" civic, there are atleast 2 mustangs that will destroy it.

Upgraded Axles, Tien CoilOvers and Slicks : 3,000
Thats about 19,000, right at what a stock mustang would cost.

I'll kick their ***, lol. Well maybe. Problem is you just can't underestimate those imports. Some of them are mean bitches. Skyline's Evo, Supra's. The shop I take my car to for dyno tuning was talking about one of the guys there that has a 650 whp on his Supra, lol. DAMN.
