RE: What was your last car and y did you get rid of it??
I owned a 2000 Celica GTS 6speed. I liked the car but it was a pain in the as$. When I bought it the 3rd gear syncro was already going out. I took it to the track a couple times and my last pass I got a 14.6 and then the engine went boom!. Not literally but it did spin a rod bearing. I wasnt even over revving it or anything. Shlltty Toyota!!!!!! It only had 35k miles. I also think that the previous owners neglected/beat it. I got the engine rebuilt and it still ran like crap so I just traded it in for my stang. Since it was worth more I got the stang+$2500 in my pocket.

RE: What was your last car and y did you get rid of it??
Hmmm.... where to start.
My first car is my 1978 F150 (still have and is the snow beater)
Next is my 1987 GMC S15 (still have and is my gas saver if I get broke, gets 40 + mpg)
Then I got a 1994 Escort GT ( loved it but the light pole didn't)
Then a 1992 S10 that I converted to a TPI 350 (I just got bored with it)
Then a 1992 Mustang Hatch LX 5.0 ( I still have it but its a basket case now since the dash burned, I have been restoring it for the past 3 years. Burned from the Radio wiring shorted. Had it in the mid 13's when the mishap happened.)
Then a 2003 ZX2 (Reminded me alot of my old Escort GT but it was too slow so I traded it for my current DD stang)
I now have a 2004 Mach 1 and love it.

87 ranger (motor blew)
91 cavalier (forgot to put water back in radiater after puting new radiator in it)
89 Reliant (heater went out during winter... i dont play that game, LOL)
Felt like getting a reliable car, and the only thing in over a year that i had to fix was a wheel bearing... good buy =)

RE: What was your last car and y did you get rid of it??
I've owned several cars since I started driving in 1981.
Below I've listed all the cars that I've owned since 1981:
1981 Toyota Celica Hatchback -- Purchased Brand New. This car looked just like the 05-07 Mustangs. It was very boring looking. I gave it to my father and he drove it up until 1998. This car had 180,000 miles on it and he gave it to my cousins who got rid of it when it had 210,000+ miles on it. The car was all rusted out, but the engine and transmission were still good when the car was junked.
1981 VW Rabbit Diesel -- Purchased Brand New. This car was a POS. The engine overheadted & blew after I drove it for 4 years.
1985 Honda Civic S -- Purchased Brand New. This car got totalled after I owned it for 4 1/2 years.
1989 Buick Park Avenue -- Purchased Brand New. I traded it in for my 92 Caddy.
1992 Cadillac Sedan Deville -- Purchased Brand New. My father totalled in while visiting Niagra Falls.
1983 Lincoln Mark VI -- Purchased Used. I sold it to my friend 1 year later after I got bored with the car.
1987 Lincoln Mark VII LSC -- Purchased Used. Traded it in after 1 year for my brand new 97 Hyundai Accent Sport.
1984 Lincoln Continental -- Purchased Used. I owned it for 2 years up until the engine seized cause the timing chain broke.
1976 Lincoln Continental Towncar -- Purchased Used. I owned this car for 4 years & used it for donut deliveries
1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited -- Purchased Brand New. I totalled it within 8 months. I Hit a telephone pole.
1997 Toyota Camry CE -- Purchased Brand New. I owned this car for 2 years & traded it in for Brand New 2000 Mustang GT.
1997 Hyundai Elantra Station Wagon -- Purchased Brand New. Traded my 97 Hyundai Accent Sport for this car. Needed more room.
1997 Hyundai Accent Sport -- Purchased Brand New. Traded my 87 Lincoln Mark VII LSC for this car. The LSC was a money pit.
2000 Mustang GT -- Purchased brand new and traded it in for my 2001 Mustang GT.
2001 Mustang GT -- Purchased Brand New & Still own it. I got only 2,6xx original miles on this car.
2002 Mustang V6 -- Purchased Brand New & Still own it. This is my all year round daily driver.
2001 Hyundai Santa Fe -- Purchased Brand New & still own it. My wife's car.

RE: What was your last car and y did you get rid of it??
99 F-350 w/ the v10. i got rid of it because it got real old, real fast paying for a tank of gas w/ a c-note when it was above $3.00 (~38 gal tank). i didn't want to get rid of it, but it was wasteful for me to have it. luckily it's still around... sold it to my brother.

RE: What was your last car and y did you get rid of it??
'98 camaro. V6, posi, 3.42s, Z/28 steering, exhaust, aluminum driveshaft. 105k miles, it had a rough life long before i had it. and it was developing an exhaust leak. my second car. fun and easy to learn with. never gave me any scares like the GT has. don't regret getting the mustang for a second. still doesn't change the fact that i'm planning on trading it in once she hits 45k, or end of '08 for a fifth gen SS
