BTW, this is 100 percent backing up (for the millionth time) all of use that call BS when someone comes in with a CAI and a set of flows and says they made 300 WHP. Right here is reality folks.

They definatly make more power on a FI setup, but you should still see at least 10 WHP with the LTs on a boltons car.

Check out this pic, found it today on my computer, stock manifolds:

Wow those manifolds have seen better days! and i do agree with you 2000, my mods caused the car to run rich, i believe the LT's pushed it over the edge, it never ran bad till i put them on, then everything went downhill, buts thanks to the tune everything is running like it should again and im happy.

Hell thats just what stock manifolds look like. They just rust, there isn't anything to protect em.

Jesus I didn't think the auto took away that much power. Am I wrong to think that a typical 5 speed with deathblooms' mods should be in the 260-270 hp range?

I was under the impression the auto robbed 5-10 hp vs a 5 speed... [&o]

260ish with ALL the boltons for a 5 speed car, depending on the dyno.

He still needs a set of underdrive pulleys, the MAF (not much there though) and the inlet tube. Probably another 5-8 WHP there, maybe 10.

Its a percentage, so the more hp it makes the more it lost thru the drivetrain. so on stoc car its less then a modded car

Yes, auto's suck ALOT of power away, but they do have good points also, im not going to go into detail because we can talk auto vs manuel all day and everybody has thier opinion on which is better, but most depend on the driving situation or the main purpose the car is going to be used for. I think with a set of udp's i can reach my goal of 280tq and be just afew ponies short of 250hp, and when i finally get around to installing my gears and such, i should have a decently quick car, maybe mid to high 13's with street tires and a good launch, from what ive read anyway. I know to alot of us 13's isnt that fast, but it'll work for me.
