Default powerdyne 8 psi kit

im looking at one on summitracing for 2900$, anyone ran one of these? also was wondering if everything would hold up ok with this? i know the internals should have no problem as im not going to be making too much HP on the NPI heads, i was thinking probley a 50 WHP gain, would you guys say the same? the clutch was the main thing i was worrying about, the clutch was replaced a few years back, buts its just a stock one, tranny should be fine as well is assume, 320 WHP i hear no problem outta the t-45, well was just wanting to get yall opinion on this kit, and as far as wanting to get a blower instead of heads and cams and all that is, i can always just add those later on down the line, and it will save me a bunch of $ not having to have someone tear apart the engine as apposed to this bolton kit, but what do you guys say?

Do a search, lotta unhappy people with Powerdyne. Spend a few hundred more and go with a Vortech or Paxton

Powerdyne sucks. There is a reason they are cheaper.

The only reason powerdyne is even still around is they make kits for wierd stuff like dodge dakotas etc, where most of the big companys don't bother.

yea i think ill go with Paxton novi 1000 for 3400$ but it comes with a chip to run the unit better, so i assume no tuning would be nessisary? any complaints on these units.

You will 100 percent need to get on a dyno and at least check the a/f ratio.

MOST of the tunes that come with kits are NOT worth a ****. Where are you looking at the novi kit?

It depends on the tuner 100 percent. My tune was/is dead nuts flat on the a/f and right on with the timing. I don't think any argument can be made about the #s its putting down either...

If you have a good tuner they can do it easy. I never even got the handheld out to make adjustments at the dyno shop.

one way or another, you HAVE to check the a/f ratio. Doing anything else is motor suicide.

I went with the MPH mongoose kit. 3905 shipped to my door, had EVERYTHING needed including a SCT handheld and a tune. IMO if your looking for a centri its the best way to go, espcialy if you don't have a tuner you trust to setup your kit.

I woudl deifnatly not screw around with the chip/tune that you will get from summit.
