Mustang+Rain=Spinout? UPDATE! NEW MEATS!

RE: Mustang+Rain=Spinout? UPDATE! NEW MEATS!
Clint, in reply to your observations...
That is very true, it still needs a TON of power to break the MT's loose, but keep in mind, YOU ARE IN INDIANA!
The roads around your nook of the nation don't absorb very much oil, grime, or other road hazards. There is MUCH more rain/snow fall in Indiana as there is in Southern California. Our roads stay dry for sometimes up to 9 months. Imagine the amount of liquids from cars that pile up over that amount of time. When it gets wet, it brings all those dried up liquids back to life. It's unimaginabely easy to break them loose in first-rain conditions here. It's extremely difficult for you to break loose in Indiana becuase there is water constantly washing away those deposits. Heck, if your roads were water-logged, the only problem you have is hydroplaning. And that requires you to drive fast, which is not something most people do in the rain, especially in a 5-speed sports car.
Just informing you of the difference in road conditions between Indiana and Southern California.

PM Sent.
Mine were from Tires Plus, and the last year's model. They had just the 4 left and needed to get rid of 'em. I generally shop around for deals. If I didn't get those, I had a deal from Discount Tire for a set of Continental ContiExtreme Contacts for $400 installed.

Hey what part of SoCal do you live in? There is a store here in Orange County called Super Autobacs that I get my tires from. I got the Dunlops SP Sport FM 901 for hella cheap. Like $600 for all four. Maybe cause they're an authorized dealer or some s#it the guy was telling me. But they hooked me up real good there. Work excelent in the rain and dry weather.

I'm in Orange County. That's really cheap for Dunlops. But I'm set for like 15,000 miles or so. Maybe next time...

Sounds good! They only have tires/wheels?
Isn't taking off in 2nd too much load under the engine/car if you do it consistantly? Hell, I'll try anything to save gas. I go through a tank a week just going and coming from school.

RE: Mustang+Rain=Spinout?
It has not rained where I live for 3 years until yesterday when I went out and did this. So, now that it has a rained a little bit in So.Cal., we wont see another thread like this from Californians for about 9 months right?
