Default Cold Air intake???? What is th difference?

There are so many diff. cold air intakes? My girl got one that was $250.00 but I also see several on ebay for like 100.00. What is the difference? The pipe is a pie right? Also I know from past experience that it is a must to have the K&N filter but what the hell is the idfference between the rest?

The ones on ebay are usaully crappy metal that will eventually rust + they are not powdercoated on either the inside or out. So cars benefit from a CAI greatly but it doesnt make much of a differance on ours.

Some people say the ebay ones are fine, but the fit and finish on those aren't great. A CAI isn't going to get you much of a gain either way, so I understand why people want to find the cheapest ones... but still, you get what you pay for.

I have a BBK CAI. i think i paid 150ish (i cant remember). I saw a guy with an ebay CAI that he got for 50 and it was the exact same thing. even came with a K&N filter.

I say just go with a k&n replacement drop-in and take out hte silencer. it'll give you about the same gain, unless you want the CAI for looks.
