Default 94-95 cobras

are these cobras even fast at all? i know they could pull on the 96-98 GT's but can the 99-04 GT's take them fairly easy?

no they arent very fast, they run like 14.9 stock, cobras werent fast until they got the DOHC 4.6 in 96, yes a PI gt will own one stock no problem.

What rwhp did they pump out? I used to have a 94 Cobra and I do remember it lacked some low end torque. Had to really rev it to get it to the upper rpm range. Seemed to pull ok though with them GT-40 heads.

I believe they made 240 at the crank, correct me somone if I am wrong, so they're probably in the 210-220 rwhp range, maybe a tad lower.

But that aside, wasn't the 5.0 used in that year a 4V?

And even if not, it's still a better modding motor than the 4.6 used in the GT's and Cobra's (until, oh, say about 2003) [8D]

Man a 4v pushrod would be serious...but no, it was an OHV just like the rest of the 302's

I had a 95 Cobra until someone wanted it more and jacked it [&o] It wasn't really fast but the 5.0's have alot of aftermarket support and are easy to work on. My 95 was definately faster then my 96 stock for stock but once i PI swapped my 96 it was definately faster then my 95 was...BUT if i still had my 95 Cobra and put the money i have into my 96 the 95 would be 700hp because most of the parts are cheaper so i would have more done to it.

Stock cobras dyno at 240 to the wheels. they can run high 13's with a good driver. I would say a stock new edge gt vs. a stock 93-95 cobra would be a drivers race.

93=fox body, not what were talking about. My friend used to own a 94cobra before I got my new edge. That car was a fvking crazy. It had 120k miles and he beat the shlt out of it, I dont know how he didnt blow something. He had the pipes removed after the cats, that 5.0 sounded mean.

93-95 have the same engine so i just grouped it all together. the 94-95 cobras would be a little slower than a 93 cobra though.
