94-95 cobras

RE: 94-95 cobras
What rwhp did they pump out? I used to have a 94 Cobra and I do remember it lacked some low end torque. Had to really rev it to get it to the upper rpm range. Seemed to pull ok though with them GT-40 heads.

RE: 94-95 cobras
I believe they made 240 at the crank, correct me somone if I am wrong, so they're probably in the 210-220 rwhp range, maybe a tad lower.
But that aside, wasn't the 5.0 used in that year a 4V?
And even if not, it's still a better modding motor than the 4.6 used in the GT's and Cobra's (until, oh, say about 2003) [8D]

RE: 94-95 cobras
I had a 95 Cobra until someone wanted it more and jacked it [&o] It wasn't really fast but the 5.0's have alot of aftermarket support and are easy to work on. My 95 was definately faster then my 96 stock for stock but once i PI swapped my 96 it was definately faster then my 95 was...BUT if i still had my 95 Cobra and put the money i have into my 96 the 95 would be 700hp because most of the parts are cheaper so i would have more done to it.

Stock cobras dyno at 240 to the wheels. they can run high 13's with a good driver. I would say a stock new edge gt vs. a stock 93-95 cobra would be a drivers race.
