Title says it all. I'm currently installing a Keyless entry system, and one requirement is that if I have a factory alarm, I need to install it a certain way. I bought the car off of some random guy, and he was the 2nd owner. I don't know if there was a alarm, but he lost the remote, or something like that. I looked for the "Factory Alarm Disarm" wire, and could not find it. Does that mean it rolled off the line without one?

And how could I check if theres an aftermarket alarm on it?

My car just has keyless entry and can only be started with my encoded keys I think...but when I open the doors while its locked, nothing happens. Need to get myself a good alarm system, I'm super paranoid since the blower went on.

When you turn the car off and lock the doors a red "theft" light should flash a bit on your dash.

Edit: If you have an alarm.

Turn off your car, and use the remote to lock it. Stay inside while you do this, then manually pull the lock lever up and open the door.

Yeah the red "theft" light flashes when the cars off, locked or not. I havn't set up the keyless entry yet, but after this weekend I'll know.

i hate to steal the thread but do u know if cobras come with keyless entry? my dad found bought one and wants to put in keyless entry, alarm. etc.
