Royal Purple vs. Mobil 1

RE: Royal Purple vs. Mobil 1
I use Royal Purple in my Motor, Trans and rear diff. It is $6 a quart, which is cheaper than I usually see like $7 or $8. I used to use Mobil 1 but Royal Purple claims hp gains... So why not its the same price..... If anyone here, is in the military or live near a base. They sell all Royal Purple products in the BX/PX and even at the gas stations and shopette's. Atleast on Air Force and Army bases they do... Its $6 everywhere on base and tax free. Just a FYI.

Royal Purple engine oil is junk. The rest of their stuff is good. I use Mobile 1 for engine oil.

RE: Royal Purple vs. Mobil 1
Mobil 1 filter is a premium filter. I use it on mine w/ the 5w-20 synthetic oil. I've seen test results that showed Fram filters sucking hind titty unless you get the Fram premium types. Stick with the Mobil filter. "Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filters contain synthetic fibers instead of the typical cellulose filter media. With a 99.2 percent efficiency rating (under SAE J1858 Multi-Pass Efficiency Test), the Mobil 1 filter is much more efficient than a typical oil filter, removing more particles per pass through the filter. In addition, the synthetic fibers in the Mobil 1 filter have less resistance to oil flow, reducing the potential for the filter to restrict the flow of oil to your engine.
