A week or so ago I posted the pics from the wreck. It appears now that the car might be a total loss. Apparrently the transmission is broken, the entire front suspension is destroyed, and it has alot of cosmetic work needed on the front end. So I have come up with a few ideas. I have about another year or so till I graduate from college so I have begun to start saving for a house. I make about 30k a year as a fire protection engineer at the momen and my fiance makes about 25k so I would like to lower my car payment if possible, but its not a necessity.

So I have three possible cars in mind. I really love the sound of a v8, but that might not be a realistic option.

BTW Im a 22 year old male that lives in South Florida so keep that in mind for car insurance.

1 2006 Mustang gt = 26k
2. 2006 v6 = 18k+4k for supercharger= 22k
3. GTO= 30K

Definetly GT. You can always supercharge that later on. The V-8 has much more potential than the V-6 although the smaller engine still has some potential.

go for the GT. for the money you are going to spend on a GTO, you can get a GT and supercharge it at Steeda.
at you age, the only car that is going to save you in insurance rates is a V6. the GTO and GT are both gonna get you till you are 25.

out of the choices you give I would say 2006 gt... but I would suggest just getting like an 03 or so gt and supercharge that. It would be cheaper and I like the new edge body style better then the s197.. just my .02

i'd get a terminator... it's more fun and it looks way better than the retro looking stangs of 05-07 =P

The only reason I put the v6 as an option is because for around the same price as a gt I could have a sixer and supercharge it. Id have something unique and the insurance should be alot cheaper.. Shoudlnt it?

I voted for the GTO because I don't really like the new mustangs....other then with the Eleanor kit.

I don't like the new mustangs either but COME ON!!.. those GTO's look even worse.. he should just stick with a new edge GT
