i read in a magazine that the mach 1 is suposed to run 13.1 bone stock with 305hp. in the same mag they said that a 03/04 cobra runs 12.7 best...i also read that they run 12.9. they both have 4v motors but why is the cobra only .4 faster than the mach 1 when the cobra is supercharged? does the supercharger not do much?

I really dont see a mach 1 running that fast I think they only have like 35 more hp than the GT..

The Mach 1 has 45 hp more than a GT but they are supposed to be underrated. The Mach 1 has a solid rear axle like the GT so it is considerably lighter than a Cobra(IRS) and thus easier to launch. That said didn't MM&FF run a 12.4 or so with a stock 03/04.

Drag radials with 0 other mods, 03/04's are capable of a low 12. Won't see it often. You also won't see Mach 1's running low 13's 100% very often.

The Mach 1 is a GT with a 4v engine. Same HP limitations. It's definitely NOT a smarter car to buy to make big HP & get down the track, if that's where you are planning on going with this.

nah i was just reading and i was a bit confused so i figured id ask. there was a guy at the track the other day with a supercharged mach 1. he said he was runnin 8psi and made 450 rwhp. he was only running 13.0 tho....was he just a bad driver?

If he only ran a 13, he better be at a track in Denver Colorado or have completely bald tires. Otherwise he sucks at life.

and those mach 1's are fast my buddys hit 12.9 stock so they are def nice cars but the o3/04 cobra will rape one, i would rather have the mach b/c i personally like n/a cars better but i luv the 03 cobra
