RE: gears
Most say yes, some say no. Alot of install shops will tell you to go with frpp as it is easier to install and set lash to ward off gear whine. I had Dallas Mustang do my install of frpp 4.10's for 503.00 drive out. Parts included. Not bad IMO. That included the gear lube, posi adative and "shop supplies". I love my frpp's, so of course I will say that yeah, they are worth it.

RE: gears
I work down the street from DM. For me it's also about confidence. I know that DM will do the gears right the first time. It's basically a cookie cutter operation for them. They do it all the time, so I have confidence in their work. Getting the rear gear lash perfect is not something I'm willing to leave to anybody but an expert. I will cut a few corners to save money, since my wife lives to take it all, but I wouldn't skimp on the gears. That's something you want to make sure gets right the first time.
I don't know the shop your considering in Ft. Worth, so I can't speak to their competence, but good luck with it and I hope everything comes out to your expectations.
