I was wondering how much of a increase in HP I would get if I got one. Also would it do anything for my torque. I was thinking of buying one. Thanks.

 

I saw one used on a '96 GT on Horsepower TV and they picked up 10 HP down low and 5 HP at peak power. I think they gained 10-15 ft. lbs. of torque.

 

if you do get one, make sure its hypertech or diablosport

 

i had a hypertech when i got it dynoed the A/F was nice at the top end but below 4k on the tach it ran exteamly lean i would recomend a diablo flash tuner anyday. by the way i have a hypertech flash tuner if u want to buy one lol

 

I had a hypertech and I was not impressed. I have a 1997 gt. my friend also bought a hypertech for his truck and was not impressed. so I would go with the diablo I have never had one but that seems to be a favorite.

 

I read a article in Motor Trend about a year ago and they tested the hypertech programmer on a 96 Gt and only got 1 HP and 3 lbs of torqe.

 

Just get a dyno tune, more spensive but you cant beat it.
