Default Most Powerful Midpipe

Really the only performance upgrade on my Mach currently is the SLP LM1 catback system. I planned on installing a Mid-pipe and LT Headers in the future, but now I plan on only installing a mid-pipe, since headers are a bit of a stretch with my money situation...and I figure the midpipe will give you the same amount of power as the headers, in most cases I think?

How much more power do you get out of O/R than over high flow catted mids?

Also, what would you recommend, as I am strictly looking for performance gains?

1hp, if you could something make a difference with 1hp on the street or track, it'd be amazing.

Pick your poison and be done with it.

wiat on the mid pipe till you do LT headers. if you do a mid pipe now you have to buy a new mid pipe (or modify yours) when you get LT headers

I think I'm just going with a midpipe, not a midpipe AND headers...
And was the 1hp difference talking about catted and O/R ???

Yep. The cats really don't restrict flow as much as people think. They do change the sound, however.

I would go with both midpipe and headers, but I figure headers cost a minimum of $500 and I don't want to keep putting all this money into my car, since I'm only in high school!
I do, however, want more power, and figured a midpipe in addition to my catback would give me a good amount of power for a decent price.
I'm doing it all at once--a JLT RAI w/ shaker functionality, midpipe, wheels, and dyno tune

Should I even bother with a midpipe?

I could go with the SLP X-pipe
http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...roducts_id=420
So if I want headers in the future, I won;t need to buy a new midpipe
Will this give me a noticeable increase in hp/tq?
It will be working with my LM1 catback, PHP spacer, and JLT intake

Any better prices on this midpipe?

midpipe is basically a sound mod, that's it. You'll get maybe a few rwhp off of it, but nothing you'll feel.

I wouldn't do longtubes until you do everything else first. If you need to do anything with the tranny, you have to redrop the headers, and unless you can do the work yourself - you're looking at over 1k for headers and install and midpipe... and you'll see maybe 15rwhp total. Do the midpipe - you can find good used ones (i got my Maco/r h pipe for $90.00 used..) if its offroad you will need MIL Eliminators, or a tune/chip to turn off the 02 sensors.... So, if you plan on longtubes in the future, you can still get your midpipe now, like i said look for a good quality used one cheap, then when you get your longtubes, sell that one... that's what i would do...
