car hard to start.

ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO MY CAR STARTED TO BECOME HARD TO START AFTER SITTING ALL NIGHT AND A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. IF THE CAR HAS BEEN OFF FOR AN HOUR OR LONGER IT TAKES ABOUT 5 SECONDS TO START AND SOMETIMES SERVERAL TRIES TO START IT . I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT MY PCV HOSE HAD A CRACK IN IT, AND THEY REPLACED IT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS RESET.IT STARTED FINE THAT DAY ,BUT THE NEXT DAY IT WAS BACK TO THE SAME OLD CRAP.I READ ON THIS FORUM THAT IT COULD BE A DIRTY MAF OR DIRTY FUEL FILTER SO I CLEANEDTHE MAF WITH MAF CLEANER ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO AND NOTHING CHANGED.2 DAYS AGO MY MIL CAME BACK ON.I CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER AND CAR IS STILL HARD TO START. TOOK IT AUTO PARTS STORE AND GOT MIL CODES 1132 AND 1152 BOTH ARE O2 SENSOR CODES FOR A RICH READING ON THE NO1 AND NO2 BANK SO I THINK THE O2 SENSORS ARE WORKING BUT WHAT COULD BE CAUSING MY CARS RICH CONDITION AND COULD THIS BE THE HARD START UP PROBLEM I HAVE INSTALLED A NEW K@N FILTER AND CAR HAS NO DRIVABILITY ISSUES PLEASE HELP THANKS . PS. BATTERY TESTED GOOD.

Problem start after the MAF cleaning? I would check for a leak or hose off after the MAF which would allow unmetered air into the system. That would cause a lean condition. Thta's where I would start. Be sure everything got plugged back into the intake tube and such. Mark

Well, replace your o2 sensor, their cheap & easy. Why would your MAF get dirty, don't you have an air filter on your car??? I'd bet if the MAF was F'd up it was cuz of you cleaning it.

What do mean "hard to start?" Elaborate.

Usually when you post something like "I just cleaned the ... two weeks ago the "..." needs to be replaced. Why would you clean the MAF? Some things on your carneed not be ****ed with.

You may need a craw foot to replace your o2 sensor, idk. Depends on your tool selection and the amount of room you have under there.
