Default 4.6 Sohc Cams

What are some cams i can get (hopefully for a 00 GT, if i get it) that have a really noticable idle, without a lot of modifications to the heads

you can run stage 1s with the heads completly stock, or stage 2s with just valvesprings.

Both will have a noticable idle, but the stage 2s will be more so.

W/ blower, same stage 2 cams:

Hey 2000GT4.6, I know this isnt my thread, but with stage 1's you dont need valvesprings, just the cams and a tune? And with the stage 2's all I need is the cams, valvesprings and a tune? I might aswell get some stage 2 cams just for the little performance and nice sound. I should have around $1200 or so in about 6 months, would this be enough for stage 2 cams, valvesprings and a handheld tuner? Thanks, and again sorry for hijack of thread.

Heh, I think what you're looking for is lope....but the problem with puttingg Stage 2's on a stock motor is that you aren't using them to their potential. The RPM's on the Stage 1's are much more suited to the range allowed by the stock motor, while, Stage 2's are designed to provide power all the way up to the 7000 RPM's that a motor with forged internals is going to be able to run. The Stage 2's powerband is further up, and you'll be missing out on some low end power and torque by going with them over Stage 1's.

everyone says that you can barely notice an idle difference with the stage 1's. thats total B.S. I have vt stage 1 n/a cams and you can definately tell i have cams. and when your sitting at idle my whole car is shaking inside from the cams. i love it. you will not be disappointed i guarantee it

you will need a better tune than just a mail order tune. it will need dyno tuned
